Best Of The Chesapeake Bay (A Road Scholar Program)
Discover the colorful Chesapeake Bay and its isolated islands while learning about its cultural heritage, fascinating history and coastal maritime traditions. Learn firsthand about the bay's active seafood industry, visit seafood processing sites, and experience daily life in the small working waterfront fishing town of Crisfield. Savor local meals in a variety of restaurants featuring a variety of seafood, including crab and fish. Classes are held at the museum overlooking one of Chesapeake's largest public marinas. Held Sunday - Friday.

Delmarva Paddling Weekend
Excursions and clinics by kayak, canoe and stand-up paddleboard will take place on the Nanticoke and Pocomoke Rivers, Broad Creek and Nassawango Creek, the mill ponds of Western Sussex County, DE, and Chincoteague Bay near Snow Hill, MD. Participating paddlers will be helping local conservation efforts by promoting outdoor recreation on Delmarva’s waterways. Paddlers, both novice and experienced, can make an important statement about the economic value of low-impact tourism on the Peninsula. Paddlers are encouraged to remind local businesses that they are here to enjoy Delmarva’s natural areas and world-class paddling experiences.
